Saracens and England stars are high on the list of players for World Rugby. You will find shortlisted candidates like Owen Farrell, Billy Vunipola and Maro Itoje being all on this list.

These three players, in particular, are in the contest to be named as World Rugby player for 2016. There is a shortlist of six names and this trio of Saracens and England dominate the list. There are others who are being considered for the award as well such as the number eight player from Ireland, Jamie Heaslip.
The nominees also include Beauden Barrett and Dane Coles who are from New Zealand. Saracens team definitely is on a high with the inclusion of the trio. All these Englishmen are known to have held Champions Cup as well as played for Aviva Premiership.
While these three names are for World Rugby player of the year, Itoje is being considered in the category of breakthrough player of the year who has had a great year in terms of his performance on the rugby field. The awards ceremony will be taking place in London this coming Sunday. It would certainly be a glorious occasion for Englishmen as players from this country are being considered in the main category. Itoje had been European Player of the Year. Jones, on the other hand, has been shortlisted as Coach of the Year.
England are being considered for the trophy of Team of the Year – it’s no wonder their tickets sold out in record time at this site when they are playing as well as they are.
Saracens definitely need some stars on their team which will boost the team morale. The game that they played against Gloucester was a thrilling one but they could not save face till the end. For that reason, Saracens team will be working hard to come back with a win soon. The awards ceremony would certainly help to boost morale and strengthen the motivation of the remaining players on the field.
